20 Minute Sweat Session

There have been so many days where I really wanted to get a workout in, but literally had no time! I know I’m not the only one who this has happened to because as human beings, we have 1,001 responsibilities. Many of us do not have barbells and dumbells just hanging out in our spare bedroom, and I think that is because many of us do not think that you can even get a sufficient workout done at home. I had that mindset for a good while until I did a leg day workout at home and couldn’t walk for the next 5 days, LOL! Workouts do not have to be 1, 2, or 3 hours long to be effective, or as we like to say, “good.” Oh the things that you can do in just 20 minutes! Below is a workout I came up with that targets your full body, through cardio and  bodyweight exercises. AND to top it off, it takes just about 20 minutes!

SET 1:

  • Jumping Jacks

  • Body weight Squats

SET 2:

  • Plank Jacks

  • Commandos

SET 3:

  • Push ups

  • Alternating Lunges

The time  of 20 minutes may vary depending on level of advancement. The time mark is based off of continuous sets of 10 reps 3 times each exercise with 30 seconds to one minute break between each set. Always remember to stretch and warm up correctly before beginning any workout. Modifications can be done for ANY exercise, so do not feel discouraged if you cannot do the advanced version.
