Building Your Best Self
Some days are dedicated to clearing your house up of stuff you haven't used in wayyy too long. The feeling of satisfaction once you have a bag to donate is well worth dedicating a day towards this feat. After it's gone you can't even imagine bringing any of it back. See ya! These days are essential for houses to remain orderly. This same idea applies to the little house between your ears, your brain. Just like houses, the brain needs decluttering in order to keep it functioning at its best. It’s up to you to design the “house” you want to live in.
Bad habits have nudged their way making a permanent spot in your “house”, leaving you with less space for things that leave you happy. Habits such as mindless scrolling, hitting the snooze, or going down the infamous chip aisle are keeping you from becoming the best version of yourself. You become comfortable with the daily routine and don't think much of it. Before you know it it's time for bed, and the cycle starts again. The body will act on autopilot if the mind chooses not to take charge. Now is the time to create healthier habits that leave you feeling fulfilled rather than drained. I challenge you to think of one thing you’ve done today that has not positively served you. It's time for some decluttering to make space for things that leave you feeling accomplished, your brain will thank you:)
